I've been a scuba diver since 1990, teaching scuba divers since 1994 and, since 2008, I've been training new scuba instructors.   I'm a PADI Course Director (instructor trainer) and scuba is my passion.   In all of the specialty areas of diving, dive safety is where I spend a lot of time.   I teach DAN(Divers Alert Network) diving first aid courses and I'm a certified Diver Medical Technician.

In additon to diving, my other interests include disasters (earthquakes are my other full time job), amateur radio, amateur radio astronomy and cold war history.
